Happy Wednesday, #TeamVaren! Here's your #WellnessWednesday tip!

Aim to get a 20-30 minute walk or jog in EVERY day. This might sound difficult, as we are all cruched for time in our busy lives, but it is easier than we all think. Getting up just 30 minutes earlier in the morning will give you plenty of time to get in a good walk to start your day. If you like to run, you can do that as well. Moving first thing in the morning boosts your serotonin levels, provides energy to the body and also helps you to focus better throughout the day. It is also an easy way to improve your metabolism and help manage your weight!

Cook your own meals! There are two main benefits to cooking at home-- first, it puts you in touch and keeps you in the know about the food you're using to fuel your body and second, it keeps you away from restaurant options that someone else prepared, probably using bulk ingredients that aren't the best for you (excess oil, salt, sugar). And hey, you're also saving money, so there's an added plus!

Cook more at home, even if it means preparing simple meals such as soups, stews or crokpot dishes. Save yourself some time during the week by meal prepping on Sunday nights to avoid the temptation of an easy meal out!
